This codelab will show you the steps to follow to get a free Non-Commercial QNX 8.0 License.

You will require a myQNX account, to be able to request a non-commercial QNX License. The myQNX account will allow you to access your license and associated downloads. If you do not already have one you can sign up for one here create a myQNX account

Once you have a myQNX account, log into your account https://www.qnx.com/account/login.html and navigate to the following link to request a free, non-commercial license for QNX SDP 8.0 https://www.qnx.com/getqnx

Once you receive notification that your license is available, you can accept and deploy it in your myQNX License Manager.
To do this follow the steps outlined in Step 2: Accept and deploy the license in your myQNX Account here https://www.qnx.com/products/everywhere/

You are now able to access the QNX Software Center and QNX SDP 8.0. To do this follow the steps in Step 3: Download Software Center and install QNX SDP 8.0 here https://www.qnx.com/products/everywhere/

You can manage your QNX license(s) from within the myQNX License Manager. This is where you can deploy and revoke your QNX Licenses. If you are having 2 different type of licenses such as commercial and non-commercial under same qnx account it is important to only work with one active license at a time to avoid legal and library availability issues. In this case you are required to either have separate accounts for each license type or keep only one active license.

Activate/Deactivate a QNX License

To activate or deactivate a QNX License see the Manage Your Product Licenses.
